QUELQUES TRAVAUX DES JEUNES FRANÇAIS – « Artistes de la mer et de la terre »
22 03 2012SOME FRENCH PUPILS WORKS FOR “ Artists of the sea and the land”
Classe 6C : Des fables de chez nous, écrites et illustrées par les jeunes…
In Automn 2011, Year 7C worked on the Fables by 17th century author Jean de la Fontaine. They made up their own stories starting from actual morals and animal characters of the writer. The animals had to be chosen from those which actually live locally. They had to set the action on the Granville shore and to illustrate it.
…. et des contes explicatifs, écrits et/ou joués par les élèves.
They had to invent and act out short tales that would provide explanations on the natural phenomenon in their environment.

Classe de 5C : Des poésies illustrées par du recyclage….
Here, the pupils have worked on creative writing, such as the expression of the feelings, time and nature, play on the sounds of the words, their music and their meaning. Our goal was to write a poem on the theme of the magic from the earth and the sea and to illustrate them with images made out of recycled paper

Classe de 4D : Des poésies lyriques, dans les pas du promeneur solitaire européen romantique, en écho avec des peintures marines…
A LONESOME WANDERER IN THE HARBOUR CITY – Year 9D has studied lyric poetry focusing on the expression of feelings and the exaltation of nature. They ended writing a poem in alexandrines, a traditional form in French poetry with its twelve syllable verses. This work drove the students to draw a lexicon on the themes of the city, the harbour and the sea for a text inspired by the European Romantics of the 19th century.

…et des nouvelles fantastiques à partir de reproduction de Victor Hugo.
Groups of three or four pupils were formed to write short-stories inspired by Victor Hugo’s drawings.
